Analysis Process

The inspectors at Semeq who are trained in electrical systems safety collect oil samples directly from transformers and breakers, which will be analyzed later in a high technology lab.

Types of Tests

Chromatography; Dielectric loss factor; Interfacial tension; Refraction index; Dielectric roughness; Water content; Density; Acidity.

Main detectable defects:

• Oil use conditions;
• Oxidation and corrosion;
• Partial discharges;
• Electric arcs;
• Oil contamination with water and other chemical elements;
• Problems with internal parts manufacturing;
• Insulation low resistance;
• Oil or isolating material overheat.
